Human Preparation

Most organisations believe they are preparing their people for AI. In reality, preparation is uneven, narrowly focussed, and unintentionally accelerating role erosion.
Several patterns stand out:
  • Many people still use AI as if it were a faster search engine or a better copywriter.
  • Even enthusiastic users apply AI mainly to speed up existing tasks, not to expand their contribution.
  • A large proportion of the workforce is overwhelmed by the pace of change, unsure what is allowed, safe, or wise.
  • Organisational training focuses overwhelmingly on efficiencies: automation, time saving, and productivity.
  • Few people are being equipped to use AI for strategic insight, value creation, or role evolution.
The result is a structural imbalance: organisations are dramatically increasing the efficiency of current work while investing very little in growing new human value to replace what AI is taking.
True preparation is not a technical challenge. It is about equipping people with the mindset, confidence, and strategic permission to grow their roles faster than AI erodes them.
